DILG Confers 1st National Anti-Drug Abuse Performance Award to 241 outstanding LGUs
Last December 28, 2018, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) conferred the 1st National Anti-Drug Abuse Council (ADAC) Performance Awards to 241 outstanding local government units (LGUs) with exemplary efforts, through their ADACs, in complementing the national government’s measures to eradicate the country’s illegal drugs problem.
Of the one thousand seven hundred fifteen (1,715) local government units composed of provinces, cities and municipalities, 241 LGUs garnered high functionality points between 85-100. The Municipality of Sison, Pangasinan is one of the awardees having garnered an 85 adjectival rating.
The criteria used to measure the functionality of the provincial, city and municipal ADACs are (1) organized local ADAC; (2) implementation of ADAC Plans and Programs; (3) fund allocation; (4) support to ADACs in component LGUs; and (5) conduct of quarterly meetings.
