Again, in commemoration of the 109th Foundation Anniversary of the Philippine Civil Service, the Local
Government Unit of the municipality of Sison joined in the tree planting activity that was held at the site of
the San Roque Dam, San Roque, San Manuel, Pangasinan on September 11, 2009.

The whole month of September is assigned as the period to carry out the many activities associated with the
commemoration of the PCS that many government agencies nationwide observe, though, in varied form of
activities. Some agencies from the 5th and 6th districts converged and decided to plant hardwood trees at the
vicinity of the famed San Roque Dam where a team from Sison also contributed a part. Led by the Human
Resources Management Officer, Ms. Leah Bustillo; Yolanda L. Lomague, Jembo B. Biyad, Bernard L. Borja, Garry
Norico, Nathaniel Bacungan, Wilma M. Aquino, Romulo Juralbal, Perfecto C. Doctolero, Giovanni Reyes, Bernie
Galang, and Marlino Apar made a great bunch of tree planters.

At the opening ceremony, Mr. Tommy T. Valdez, Vice president of the Office of the Corporate Social
Responsibility; Hon. Alain Jerico S. Perez, Mun. Vice Mayor and Acting Mayor, LGU-San Manuel, Pangasinan; Mr.
Rogelio T. Del Rosario, Director II – CSC Field Office, Urdaneta City; and Mr. Buenaventura R. Rodrigo, Jr.,
CENRO Officer, Urdaneta City, gave messages that inspired the many participants. The EMCEE of the day was Ms.
Francilita E. Espiritu.
