A new farm tool from the municipal government of Sison was recently turned over to the Municipal Agriculture Office (MAO) under the astute supervision and headship of Mrs. Belinda Villanueva in Pajara, Bila. It is a brand new tractor with rotavator and bed former or mini hand tractor worth Php 1,289,000.00 for the exclusive use of the agriculture office in its research activities, particularly for technical management of rice, corn and vegetable production.

Aside from the new tractor, the MAO is one of the few in the province that is equipped with a soil sampler that is designed to test and indicate the mineral deficiencies of certain agricultural lands. This gives the farmer the option to choose the right stimulant in his farmland and stopping unnecessary or redundant procurement of ineffective fertilizers. Soil sampling is offered free to all Sison farmers.
The DA has started to stay abreast of global developments in agriculture by utilizing the World Wide Web (www) or the internet, in its extensive and dense researches. All the MAO personnel are now taught how to use the computer and how to open the Google in their search for modern agriculture technologies. All year round water supply, new office buildings and free educational tours and seminars to its entire staff are just few of the relief that the MOA now enjoys under the current administration of Mayor Kimi S. Cojuangco.
