June 28, 2010 - 5th District Congresswoman-elect, Hon. Kimi S. Cojuangco, took two turns of oath taking in a single day. One at the Cultural Center in Urdaneta City administered by former 5th District Representative and current city mayor, Hon. Amadeo Perez, Jr., and at the Yellow Nipa Hut in Sison, Pangasinan which was also administered by the current 5th District Congressman, Hon. Mark O. Cojuangco.

Clad in a subtle pink gown and flanked by the members of her family, the incoming 5th District Representative rested her left palm on a Bible and with the other hand raised made her vow in front of hundreds of guests and visitors that comprised mostly of heads and officials from the government and private entities.
Members of her family that attended the memorable occasion in Urdaneta City were Congressman Mark O. Cojuangco and two of her three children, Danielle and Eduardo Cojuangco III. Her second daughter, Paola, was out of the country at the time of the ceremony.

After the city occasion, she rushed back to Sison where she is still the current municipal mayor and took her oath once more in the afternoon of the same day, solemnized by her Congressman-husband, Hon. Mark O. Cojuangco. The spectators, guests, friends and officials from the government and private offices filled the Yellow Nipa Hut to the brim.
