PROFILE OF THE BARANGAY
A. General Description & Characteristics of the Barangay
Barangay Alibeng is located at the south eastern part of the town proper of Sison, more or less 12 kilometers from Poblacion to barangay Alibeng, it is bounded on the North by barangay Calunetan, west by barangay Killo, east by barangay Ansagan of San manuel Pangasinan and on South by sitio Binmonton of barangay Sta. Catalina of Binalonan Pangasinan. It has a total land area of 2,909,812.71 composed of 90,544.70 residential lands, 2,677,054.01 agricultural lands and 41,214.00 of Forest lands. Barangay Alibeng is lowland and classified as rural barangay . The main source of living of the people in the barangay is Farming.

B. Demographic Reference
The Community Based Monitoring System (CBMS) conducted in 2017-2018 has recorded a total population of 1,561 with 337 Households. There are 51% or 796 male and 48.97 or 764 female.The average household size is 5.
Proximity of Barangay Location to Basic Services & Service Institutions
The barangay has (1) Health Center and (1) Birthing Home in which services offered include the following: health consultation on minor illnesses, pre-natal and post –partum check-ups, children’s immunisation, and other health and sanitation services. It has (1) public Daycare Center, (1) public Elementary School and public High School. The municipality assigned its municipal and community workers such as the midwife, the child development teacher, Barangay Nutrition Scholar (BNS), Barangay Health Workers (BHWs), Barangay Sanitary Inspector and others to help deliver services to the barangay constituents.
C. Public Transportation
Barangay ALIBENG is more or less 12 kilometers away from Poblacion, and it has a 1.5 Kilometers away from the national highway bound to Baguio City. It is more or less 20 minutes ride through Tricycle, Motorcycle but if you go to Poblacion it takes more or less 40 minutes with two rides using PUV and tricycle entering the town.
D. Credit Institutions
There is no available credit institution established in the Barangay. But there are credit institutions coming from our neigboring town, Pozorrubio and Urdaneta City and offered different form of financial and loan assistance to individuals to include CARD, ASA Philippines Foundation and Multi-purpose Cooperative that offers farm financing to the farmers
E. Peace and Order
situation in the Barangay is generally peaceful. Tha barangay have also institutionalized their barangay Tanod as its fiorstline of defense from outlaws and thieves.
F. Government Land and Resettlement
There are identified informal settlers in the Barangay . Most of these families are livingin public spaces or government owned lots that are intended for residential purposes However it is not yet awarded to the residents. Nevertheless, it is not yet a big problem of the barangay considering that there is still enough land for them and for the incoming settlers in the future

G. Gender and Development Planning
The Barangay has specific plan for Gender and Development . There are organized women group that participated and helped in the implementation relatively on gender and development concerns.
H. Barangay Equipment and Facilities
The barangay has limited facilities and equipment. Aside from the barangay hall, the Barangay has a Health Center, Day Care Center, and Basketball Court. Equipment’s such as: computer, printer, television, furniture and fixtures are already in the office.
I. Barangay Officials/Personnel
The Barangay Council is composed of nine (9) elective officials that include the Barangay Captain, Seven (7) members of Sangguniang Barangay and the SK. Chairperson, one (1) Indigenous People Mandatory Representative and two (2) appointive officials, the barangay Secretary and the barangay Treasurer. Aside from the conventional type of barangay organizational set up, there also service delivery such as twenty (20) Barangay Tanod, one (1) Barangay Nutrition Scholar,(BNS)one (1) Barangay Service Point Officer (BSPO) , (1) Child Development Teacher (CDT and Six (6) Barangay health Workers that added to the barangay organization.
